Our experience of cooperating with SoftPro CJSC in implementing CBOSS and CBOSSacc
SMARTS CJSC was the first GSM operator contracting CBOSS for the Convergent Business Operation Support System.
This system was preferred to other systems that have been considered mainly because it was an "all-round" solution to run a cellular operator's business. Options for structuring customer care divisions were offered as early as negotiating the contract. Despite the multitude of problems, the negotiating process was constructive and fruitful enough. Our network had some 2000 subscribers and its own database used in billing by the time of the system launch. OraSoft experts worked out a clear work schedule to migrate the database into the new system, and to import accounting data used in billing. OraSoft experts also managed the deployment of a LAN, provided personnel training at their workplaces and on the licensed ORACLE and UNIX courses. CBOSS enabled us to create a new customer care system implementing the advance mode. It was just natural that software programming errors and shortcomings were detected in the process of implementing such a multi-functional system on a "living", operating network of another standard. However, SoftPro experts were working in tandem with the system administrators and efficiently removed shortcomings detected. As a result of close communicating, all the necessary final touches were made. This enabled SoftPro CJSC to become one of the leading suppliers of billing systems in Russia. At present, SoftPro CJSC offers a professional technical support technology. In particular, I would like to note the politeness and efficiency shown by the technical support staff. This is paramount if uncommon problems, which often arise in the system and network operation, are to be solved promptly and efficiently. Besides, SoftPro CJSC experts offered debt management methods, implemented for a very good impact on the financial side of our operations.
