CBOSS continues a successful tradition of cooperation with Laos

Last year, CBOSS Association — an international provider of IT for telecom — signed the contract for shipment of Short Message System CBOSSsms for Vientiane-based Lao Asia Telecom. After 6-month successful deployment of this solution the Lao telco opts for the complex billing package with a range of additional services.

Lao Asia Telecom is a GSM and PSTN operator from Laos. Its contract with CBOSS headquartered in Moscow was the first economy-related agreement after the 11-year-long pause between Russia and Laos.

On April 28, 2004, during the official visit of the Minister of Defense of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Lieutenant General Douanggtay Phichith to Russia, a Lao delegation visited CBOSS headquarters in Moscow. The Minister of Defense was accompanied by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lao PDR to Russia Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, members of the delegation and representatives of Russia’s Ministry of Defense.

The visit included a survey of the company’s premises and a meeting with CBOSS senior executives and President of Association Andrey Morozov. Summing up the results, the parties expressed interest in extending contacts and developing future collaboration. Lao delegates praised the high level of CBOSS technologies and products.
