CBOSS subsidiary in Finland, CBOSS Oy, purchased OBS business of a Japanese company Fujitsu Service Oy. The Association took over a well-known real-time billing system rtBilling based on a powerful HP NonStop Kernel platform enabling real-time billing of 10 million subscribers. The system will be offered as CBOSSrtb, however the former trademark, rtBilling, will be preserved. The introduction of the new system is a revolutionary and at the same time evolutionary even, for is aimed at complex integrated IT solutions. CBOSS expands its prepaid system product line to the industrial level, increases the scale of enhancement of the product and related technological solutions.
CBOSS products (703 installations) are deployed by 134 operators in 18 countries, serving 38 million subscribers. CBOSS views the new acquisition in Finland as a launching pad for its products to foreign markets. CBOSS management attaches much attention to building intellectual potential of the company, a team of professionals. The first step will be opening of 150 new jobs in Russia to be directed to development and modification of CBOSSrtb. In the result, CBOSS Oy will significantly benefit from cutting expenses on outsourcing, unification and integration of products.
