CBOSS Supplied Server Hardware and Software to MTS Subsidiaries

CBOSS Association announced it signed a new large agreement with MTS CJSC to supply server hardware and software to MTS subsidiaries.
According to the agreement, CBOSS is to supply to the telecom company Internet Sales Point CBOSSisp licensed for 500 workstations. CBOSSisp is implementation of the Internet sales point, enabling remote customer registration, activation and Customer Care, via dialup or dedicated line. The technology allows deploying feature-rich remote office for dealers, and branches of the telecom operators and service providers. CBOSSisp supports the whole customer care cycle, its operations are similar in every aspect to CBOSS operations. CBOSSisp may operate in the online and offline modes.

Under a contract with MTS Moscow, CBOSS will also supply a high-end server Sun Fire 15K 72 CPU. Within 20 days after the supply date Sun Professional Services specialists will install and launch the server, later it will be maintained by Sun Microsystems.

Besides, CBOSS Association will deliver complex solution including application and system software, as well as hardware platform for billing and provision of value-added services to subscribers of Saratov-based MTS subsidiary.
Under the contract, the MTS subsidiary will be delivered a complex solution including Sun Microsystems servers, Excel switching platform, Oracle system software and a wide range of CBOSS applications.
The contract covers a number of professional services. Specifically, they include, startup and commissioning, configuration of disk and backup and recovery systems. Moreover, installation of Oracle Server, creation and configuration of Oracle instance, including setup of Oracle database standby server will be performed. Load testing and installation of CBOSS application software will crown the project implementation.
At present, implementation and commissioning are close to completion. Start-up will be performed meeting most demanding deadline. Installed equipment and implemented software will have 24x7 Technical Support.
