3D Convergence at Mobile World Congress 2008

Mobile World Congress 2008, held February 11-14 in Barcelona, has emphasized the importance of convergent information technologies for the modern telecommunications industry.

CBOSS Corporation's stand was traditionally located in hall 1, near to the central entrance and next to Microsoft, Orange, DоCоMо and IBM stands.

This year, representatives of one of CBOSS' customers – the German mobile virtual network enabler MVNECO GmbH – were present at the CBOSS stand. The visitors had a unique opportunity to get answers to any question on CBOSS solution operation directly from MVNECO's top managers. The company provides services to numerous European MVNOs, using the comprehensive convergent CBOSS solution fully outsourced and managed by the experts of CBOSS' technopolis located in Helsinki, Finland.

  

CBOSS' demo solution deployed at the stand attracted much attention from the telecom community. The system included the unique convergent solution CBOSSrtb running on the HP NonStop NS 3004aс server - high availability new-generation hardware based on Itanium processors. The site also featured the short message service center CBOSSsms - a cutting-edge messaging technology guaranteeing 100% SMS delivery. CBOSS Corporation was the only exhibitor demonstrating NonStop Itanium hardware at the Mobile World Congress 2008. For further visibility, key performance indicators were displayed on large plasma screens. CBOSS experts provided extensive consultations to visitors on all issues concerning the showcased innovative solution.

 

During the congress CBOSS had a record-breaking number of business meetings and negotiations with prospective and existing customers and partners, and several new contracts were concluded. CBOSS top managers also gave interviews to major telecommunications media.

All event visitors will surely remember the exciting CBOSS-DanceShow - an entertainment program, this year presented at the CBOSS stand by a show ballet from Vietnam. Asian dancers were not a random choice, rather they reflected the international spirit of the event and CBOSS' presence on all inhabited continents.

On the second night of the exhibition, CBOSS held a gala dinner giving company's customers and partners a valuable opportunity to mix in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The dinner took place in one of the most fashionable clubs in Barcelona, located in the prestigious la Barceloneta region on the Mediterranean coast. Specially for the guests, the famous CBOSS dance show presented as much as four original dances. During the night, CBOSS also held a lottery with several customers wining main prizes – a free stay at R.C. Ozernaya and an exclusive trip in one of CBOSS helicopters. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the event provided a premier international networking opportunity for all guests.
