NCC and CBOSS Celebrate 10th Partnership Anniversary

NCC and CBOSS have been cooperating since 1998. February 1, 2008 became the 10th anniversary of this highly successful partnership.

NCC is Russia's first GSM carrier. The company started its operation in 1995 with only 6 base stations in Nizhny Novgorod. Today, NCC is a largest Russian telecommunications company providing services in 6 federal subjects of the Russian Federation including the Republic of Tatarstan, Republic of Mordovia, Chuvash Republic, Saratov Oblast, Penza Oblast, and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Today, NCC is serving more than 2 million subscribers.

The partnership dates back to 1998, when CBOSS successfully replaced NCC's billing system from LHS with its own billing solution. Commenting 1998's project, NCC's management highlighted record project implementation time and wider functionality provided by the CBOSS solution.

Today, NCC's portfolio of CBOSS products spans billing, dealer and partner management, value-added services, messaging, monitoring, network management, mediation, analytical data processing, and reporting. All the products are seamlessly integrated in the centralized solution based on the real-time billing system CBOSSrtb. Deployed in Mated Pair configuration, CBOSSrtb servers are fully independent and located in different points of the network, providing maximum stability and survivability of the system. The configuration has proved its reliability and effectiveness in real emergencies.

Currently, CBOSSrtb, installed in NCC's Nizhny Novgorod office, is serving customers of three other subsidiaries located within hundreds of kilometers from each other, e.g., subsidiaries in Penza Oblast and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The 10-year partnership of NCC and CBOSS is marked by continuous development and innovation. By the cooperation anniversary, the companies agreed a number of new joint projects aimed at strengthening NCC' market positions. One of them is to build a Wi-Fi network in Nizhny Novgorod, which will enable NCC to offer its customers one of the most cutting edge wireless access technologies of today.
