Mobile Service Platform

Boosting ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) is a high priority task for a telco. SMS services greatly contribute to ARPU.
With revenue from voice traffic approaching saturation, service and content providers focus on commercial SMS services: fetching the information, ordering music, pictures, participating in TV quizzes, etc. However, often subscribers would not bother to search for information or cannot use any transport except for SMS and USSD. A versatile tool to provide a wide range of easy-to-use services is needed.
CBOSSmsp Mobile Services Platform combines CBOSSsmsRouter and options enabling service and content providers to support a maximum number of subscribers via a single entry point.

Functionalities

CBOSSsmsRouter

CBOSSsmsRouter is the CBOSSmsp transport layer providing the following capabilities:

  • connection to SMSC/MMSC or any other transport infrastructure of the telco via standard and non-standard protocols
  • modification of SMS parameters
  • connection of external systems: email servers, call centers and web applications, content and service providers, etc.
  • provision of all SMS services via a single entry point
  • storage of message traffic details to implement unified rating
  • collection and storage of information on provided services

CBOSSmcms

CBOSSmcms Mobile Content Management System allows ordering multimedia objects from several content providers to the mobile phone and send text and multimedia messages from telco’s web site. Content is delivered via WAP, SMS and MMS.
CBOSSmcms provides the following capabilities:

  • content management (loading to database, message delivery configuration, delivery to end-users)
  • content and text push-service
  • detailed statistics (content popularity, efficiency of ad-hoc campaigns, message route tracking, etc.)
  • resource provisioning to external companies (multi-user mode of provider access to resources featuring access differentiation)
  • multi-user mode featuring user role differentiation (administrator, content provider, mass media advertising content)
  • access to third-party content while supporting conventional ordering – from subscriber mobile phone or a telco's web site. All data is stored in the system and available for statistics reports
  • control of content delivery to the end-user (if the telco sends a delivery notification to the content provider)
  • handset type detection at switching to a WAP resource to provide compatible content.

CBOSSchat Unified Messaging Solution for Mobile Subscribers is an interactive service providing chat functionalities for Internet users and mobile subscribers via WAP and Web interface.

CBOSSpet

CBOSSpet SMS Game "Tamagotchi" implements the virtual Tamagotchi game for mobile subscribers enabling communication with a virtual pet by SMS or via Web interface.

CBOSSicq2sms

CBOSSicq2sms ICQ-to-SMS Gateway is a hardware/software solution providing ICQ to SMS instant messaging between Web and mobile users.

CBOSSvoteLite

CBOSSvoteLite Vote System enables marketing researches, polls, free and paid contests, quizzes, games, betting, etc. via online interaction with wide TV audience CBOSSvote registers participants' replies to a predefined set of questions via SMS, USSD or Web, stores data in the database and aggregates it for further analysis.
