Pre-activated Kits
Pre-activated Kits is a popular technology that allows you to sell an equipment kit with services in virtually any point-of-sales, from a sales department to a supermarket.
A pre-activated kit is a pack containing a basic item (SIM card or AMPS/D-AMPS/NMT mobile phone) and additional equipment units (e.g. scratch cards, accessories, GSM phone).
System Operation
The Pre-activated Kits option allows to automatically assemble a kit, prepare it for sale, register the kit in the inventory system, as well as to return it to the store and break it up. The technology also covers customer care (e.g. rating scheme and service set change) and financial care (e.g. calculation of payment validity period).

Functionalities
Assembling of pre-activated kits
- Equipment is programmed and reserved for the specific number.
- Equipment is delivered to the store where pre-activated kits are assembled.
Registration of pre-activated kits
Pre-activated kits are registered at the store for sale. The information on kits and their constituents is provided by the packing company.
Preparation of pre-activated kits for sale
Pre-activated kits are sold to dealers or delivered to points-of-sales. The system generates an impersonal contract, account, subscription, and collateral user and inventory documentation.
Registration of pre-activated subscribers
The contract, account and subscription are filled out with information on the subscriber who purchased the kit.
Adding of services
New services can be added to a pre-activated subscription. It is also possible to change the rating scheme.
Extension of the payment validity period
This function allows you to shift the date of payment validity period. The extension period depends on the payment amount.
Reset of account balance
The function allows resetting subscriber balance on payment expiration.
Return of pre-activated kits
This feature allows return of unsold pre-activated kits to the telco. Unsold kits are unreserved and impersonal subscriptions are blocked.
Breaking up of pre-activated kits
Pre-activated sets are broken up in case they are not sold, or their constituents need replacement.
