Application Programming Interface to Short Message Service Center

Value-added SMS services are becoming an important revenue generator for telcos.
CBOSS Corporation offers CBOSSsmsAPI, allowing to enhance CBOSSsms functionality and widen the service range.

System Operation

CBOSSsmsAPI supply includes a DLL, allowing to develop and connect client applications to any SMPP 3.4-enabled SMSC, and a software gateway, supporting connection of external client applications to к CBOSSsms via SMPP.
Data is exchanged between client applications and CBOSSsms in a “client-server” network. At the application level Remote Procedure Call (RPC) protocol is used, while at the transport level one of the most popular protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPX/SPX, etc.), supported by the current RPC and CBOSSsmsAPI version, may be selected.

Benefits

  • Developing SMSC client applications without external assistance, facilitating implementation of additional functionalities.
  • Using various transport protocols (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, UDP, etc.) to exchange data between CBOSSsmsAPI and CBOSSsms.
  • Connecting third-party applications to SMSC via SMPP.
